Scope of the Role

Reporting to the Supervisor, this position is responsible for making sure communication is shared amongst all shifts within the department. The Shift Leader may also be responsible for daily scheduling of the crew within their areas of training. Moreover, this position will be responsible for SOP and cGMP compliance, training, and providing direction to employees to resolve production problems. Additionally, the Shift Leader will be required to lead and/or participate in resolution of Quality and Safety incidents. This role will work with support groups on validations, updating departmental SOPs, and utilizing computerized programs within the department. They will work independently with minimal supervision and be responsible for filling in for the shift supervisor when needed.

Experience Required

High School Diploma/GED; pursuing a degree is preferred.
Must be able to complete all physical aspects of the job, including but not limited to ability to perform frequent bending and lifting up to 50 lbs as necessary.
The incumbent must have excellent attendance and work record,
Have ability to maintain confidentiality.
Other requirements include organizational skills, the ability to multi task, training of new employees, encouraging change, verifying equipment, keeping records as needed, strong analytical skills and problem solving skills.
The incumbent must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be able to work within a cGMP environment, demonstrated the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, shown leadership skills, and shown computer literacy such as but not limited to SAP and Microsoft Office, mathematical and technical ability is preferred
Trainer certification may be required in some areas.
