Description Overview

Perrigo is dedicated to safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring the security of our information systems. We are seeking a motivated and talented Cyber Security Intern to join our team and contribute to our security operations, engineering, governance, risk and compliance efforts. As a Cyber Security Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of cyber security. You will work closely with our experienced security professionals to help protect our organization from cyber threats and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.

Scope of the Role

  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies.
  • Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Help develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure secure system configurations and practices.
  • Conduct research on emerging security threats and trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of security reports and documentation.
  • Participate in security awareness and training programs.

Experience Required

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of cyber security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior internship or project experience in cyber security is a plus.
