Description Overview

The Operator Driven Reliability (ODR) Lead will promote, mentor, and coach concepts and practices of Operator Driven Reliability and will be a resource to the plant who constantly focuses on improving the life of troubled equipment and improving the skill sets and performance of the operations team setting up and running equipment. The role will be responsible for development and execution of the ODR program in their assigned plant. They will ensure compliance with area inspection routes, and the continuous improvement process associated with the routes. They will ensure that findings from the routes are escalated through the planned maintenance process and repairs are completed according to criticality prioritization of the finding. The role will develop and conduct a training program related to aspects of the ODR program. The role will also be responsible for facilitating the center lining of critical equipment and partnering with the appropriate site personnel to develop a new CTI process. The role will report monthly to plant management team progress made and upcoming opportunities to improve.

Scope of the Role

  • Must observe and practice all Department/Plant Procedures including wearing required PPE
  • Adherence to plant safety, food Safety, sanitation standards, and following all GMP guidelines.
  • To improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of assets through the planning and scheduling process and MRO process application.
  • Develop, implement, and champion ODR processes
  • Identify, develop, justify, and implement reliability and performance improvement projects
  • Responsible for directing the following programs:
    • Troubled equipment program
    • CIL Routes
    • CTI
    • Center lining
    • Training others on the concepts above
  • Coordinate and support collection and review of all necessary before and after data to report value of improvement project
  • Responsible for identifying and coordinating training for machine operators and set-up technicians
  • Report in writing any discrepancies or conditions that require corrective, predictive or planned maintenance for production systems
  • Willing to accept accountability for own choices, performance, and behavior

Experience Required

  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting equipment and creative problem solving with preference in FDA / regulated GMP environment
  • Ability to utilize tools to diagnose problems
  • An excellent safety work record and demonstrated safety behaviors including adherence to lockout tagout and confined space entry.
  • Computer skills including basic Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Experience with SAP and Office software or systems desired
  • Read and assist in creation of asset criticality exercised
  • Good math, oral/written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven analytical, planning, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment.
  • Highly motivated and resourceful with a “get-it-done, can-do” attitude
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all team peers and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records and data.
  • Ability to travel for training and continuous improvement activities
  • Willingness to flex work schedule in order to assist all shifts when needed
  • Ability to endure daily, excessive walking, standing, crouching, lifting (excess of 60lbs), twisting, climbing, reaching.
