Description Overview

This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing SAP architecture and solutions across the organization. The SAP Architect will work closely with various departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality of SAP systems, supporting the company's strategic goals. 

Scope of the Role

Strategic Planning and Process Improvement: 

  • Lead initiatives to streamline SAP architecture processes, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall business strategy. 
  • Develop and implement best practices for SAP architecture, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity. 
  • Identify opportunities to optimize SAP solutions and reduce costs. 

 

Technology and Tools Management: 

  • Manage and implement SAP architecture tools and technologies. 
  • Oversee the integration of SAP with other business systems, ensuring seamless operations. 
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all integrated systems. 
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient SAP architecture. 

 

Project Leadership: 

  • Drive and guide technical decision-making on SAP architecture from project inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement SAP architecture strategies. 
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes. 

 

Data Governance and Compliance: 

  • Contribute to and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure SAP architecture processes meet Perrigo standards. 

 

Team Leadership and Development: 

  • Help drive excellence across all aspects of Perrigo’s architecture work by building architectural deliverables, sharing knowledge and skills, and enforcing best practices for architecture. 
  • Mentor and guide a team of SAP developers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 
  • Coordinate training programs for team members and other stakeholders to enhance SAP architecture capabilities. 

Experience Required

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in SAP architecture, development, or similar roles. 
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale SAP architecture projects and working with complex SAP environments. 
  • Extensive experience with SAP and designing scalable SAP architecture. 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading transformational change within SAP environments. 
  • Expertise with SAP including ECC and cFIN is required. 
  • Experience with US and international SAP operations, configuration, support, and development. 
  • SAP S/4 experience is preferred. 

 

Skills: 

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SAP architecture tools and technologies, including the ability to produce and maintain architectural standards and diagrams. 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design effective SAP solutions. 
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering successful SAP architecture projects. 
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders. 
  • Leadership: Proven ability to contribute meaningfully to high-performing teams. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific SAP architecture challenges and best practices. 
  • These skills are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Combined with 15 years of experience in SAP.
  • Master Degree or relevant Certifications is preferred.
