Description Overview

We are currently looking for a Sales Support Professional to join our team in Allegan, MI.  It is expected this individual be able to work from our Allegan location three days per week.

Sales Support Professionals are the backbone of the sales team taking on administrative/operational tasks and activities providing support in day-to-day operations.  They collaborate closely with the Account Executives and Customers, assisting them in achieving their targets by offering necessary resources and assistance.  This role supports the Account Executives and Customer through the entire sales process. 

Scope of the Role

The responsibilities include (but are not limited to) processing change in business opportunities (i.e., Business Awards and Volume Decreases), item conversion tracking, artwork status tracking, deduction processing and liaising with different accounting personnel, sales sample order processing, new item set up internally/externally, resolving issues and handling customer requests for information, execute customer pricing internally/externally following all SOX compliance regulations.

Experience Required

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, business or related field is desired; however those with 5+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Typically 3+ years experience within a Sales or Marketing department role within the CPG Industry.
  • Must be able to clearly articulate expectations, monitor/manage progress and implement actions to achieved desired results. 
  • Able to interpret quantitative and qualitative information and use such information to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Works well under tight timelines and has ability to prioritize work in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent judgment, follow-up, attention to detail and personal accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercises latitude in determining approaches to assignment with agreed objectives and scope.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze information, problem solve a variety of issues and make decisions.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Power Point, and Word are required.
