Description Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Graphic Designer for our CSCA (Consumer Self-Care Americas) Graphics organization located in Allegan, MI. It is expected this individual be able to work within a commutable distance to our Allegan, MI office.

The incumbent is responsible for development of printable packaging art components in compliance with applicable requirements utilizing established standard work tools including reviewing packaging component files against regulatory labeling requirements for compliance. The individual must have a practical application of printing technologies, be able to follow customer directed designs and specifications. Collaboration with graphics team and management as well as awareness and management of business deadlines is critical.

Other projects/responsibilities including but not limited to:

- Mock-Up Creation/ Production
- Design and imagery
- Software/technology and/or workflow SME
- Training
- Account relationship management & direction

Scope of the Role

Develop artwork based on variety of inputs: customer direction, management direction, marketing best practices for design and claims, and regulatory/legal requirements
Checking art for accuracy against Regulatory Labeling Specifications, Customer specifications, packaging engineering specifications, printing specifications
Documentation necessary for each art job utilizing workflow process tools ensuring accurate data management
Communicate and prioritize with internal (sales & marketing, regulatory/legal, engineering, R&D, IT and/or Graphic Design Project Manager) and external customers

Experience Required

Typically these skills are acquired with a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related degree and 4–6 years related experience in consumer-packaged goods
Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
Ability to conceptualize/brainstorm new ideas
Strong design skills necessary
Writing skills needed in some roles
Must have excellent command of Adobe Creative software
Knowledge of multiple print processes preferred
Understands the pre-press production process
Proficiency in Macintosh OS environment, workflow software & PIM/DAM systems
