Description Overview

Perrigo is hiring a Supply Chain Analyst that will support our plants in Allegan and Holland. The Supply Chain Analyst evaluates  Supply Chain capability, working with Demand Planning, Master Schedulers, Operations, and Procurement to assess our capability to meet projected demand with available capacity. Investigates and supports current and future requirements based on plant capabilities and schedules the use of materials, equipment, plant resources and external resources required to provide timely production that meets or exceeds quality, service and cost expectations.

Scope of the Role

  • Monitors and manages the Supply Chain to ensure fill levels consistent with production needs and customer expectations.
  • Uses continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing principles & tools and the DMAIC process to establish supply chain strategies for a continuous supply of materials and to maximize service with appropriate inventory levels.
  • Manages and monitors Production Plan with consideration of supply chain constraints, including supplier reliability, equipment and human resource.
  • Establishes strategies for buffer inventories, replenishment and reducing variation as materials and the environment dictate.
  • Communicates strategic choices to support Planned (Life Cycle projects) and Unplanned (production deviations) events

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sciences or a related field is preferred
  • Three to five years of supply chain and/or operations experience.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple resources at one time (departments, external suppliers, etc.).
  • Ability to understand and apply MRP and basic Supply Chain concepts, with  problem solving skills.
  • Prior project management experience preferred.
  • Lean Sigma, ISM or APICS certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
