Description Overview
The Microbiology QC Technician role is responsible for Sample processing, routine laboratory housekeeping maintenance, Microbiology supportive tasks including Environmental Monitoring and Purified Water sampling, and Consumables order management.
The Microbiology QC Technician must ensure that Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is adhered to, and health and safety practices are maintained.
Scope of the Role
- Adherence to local QCWI’s and procedures.
- Understanding of good hygiene, aseptic technique and GMP
- Planning and Organisation

Experience Required
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and Science as a minimum.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific subject or previous practical industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams.
