Description Overview

To maintain Quality Control laboratory in state of GMP cleanliness and stocked with supplies. Maintain inventory of solvents and lab supplies in 5S locations

Scope of the Role

Major Duties / Responsibilities (not limited to:)   % of Time
1.   run laboratory dishwashers, visually inspect laboratory glassware for cleanliness   40%
2.   remove laboratory waste (solvent/glassware/ vials) as necessary from satellite containers to hazardous wasteroom.   10%
3.   remove 55 gal drums from wasteroom to loading area for waste pick-up   5%
4.   Maintain inventory of all lab supllies (solvents/consumables/glassware) in 5S location in all lab rooms   10%
5.   Dust/wash lab surfaces, equipment and clean lab hoods   5%
6.   Replace water in laboratory equipment as needed   5%
7.   Carries samples and documentation between buildings   5%
8.   Moves lab supplies/solvents between buildings/rooms   5%
9.   Label solvent bottles as per SOP requirements       5%
10.   Perform daily verification of laboratory balances   5%

Typical Problems
Adherence to laboratory policies and procedures and GMP requirements across the department.
A typical problem for this position can be overload of glassware for cleaning or overload of waste for disposal.

Most Complex Problems
Work with supervisor to troubleshoot laboratory dishwasher .

Requirements:

Ability to work as a team to achieve desired results and may need to work OT as required.
Ability to read/write and follow written procedures
Interact with lab chemists to provide necessary supplies and respond in a timely manner.
HS Diploma or GED

Salary Range: $40,000 to $44,000
