Description Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Inspector to join our Quality Assurance team. This role is primarily responsible for inspecting activities on the packaging floor and during batch manufacturing, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards. The QA Inspector role may also require but not limited to creating and labeling components for submission to QC lab, perform SAP transactions as required as well as review batch records. The role may require cross training with other QA functional groups such as QA release, component and raw material incoming inspection.
The starting hourly rate for this opening is $23.00.
Scope of the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of packaging operations to ensure adherence to GMP and SOPs.
- Monitor batch manufacturing processes for compliance with approved procedures and specifications.
- Create and label samples collected and prepare appropriately for Quality Control (QC) submission.
- Conduct line clearance checks and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Identify and report deviations, non-conformances, and potential quality issues.
- Support the review of batch records for completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with production and QC teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections and findings.
- Participate in internal audits and assist in preparing for regulatory inspections.
Experience Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in a science-related field preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a QA role within pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry preferred.
- Familiarity with GMP, FDA regulations, and quality systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work Environment:
- Primarily based on the packaging floor and manufacturing areas.
- May require standing for extended periods and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Occasional office-based tasks for documentation and batch record review.
