Description Overview
Warehouse and Materials Senior Supervisor at PNY, typically oversees 1 or 2 warehouse Supervisors. The warehouse Supervisor oversees 2-3 Warehouse Leads and roughly 20-40 employees working across multiple facilities. Overseeing the tasks and adjust workloads to meet distribution and transportation needs. Overseeing training and monitors employee’s progress, monitors safety, quality, productivity and troubleshoots employee concerns. This position will share specialized knowledge with management in the development and implementation of on-going processes or special projects and recommend process changes to eliminate repetitive problems and waste [LEAN/5S]. Coordinates employees and equipment between facilities to support the needs of the organization. Ensures efficient warehousing of pharmaceutical products through Company’s Standard Operating Procedures. Oversee the Warehouse Supervisors/leads to facilitate the most efficient and economical use of space for storing and distributing raw material, packaging components and finished products(s). Directs the warehouse employees in the organization of receiving, storing, and moving of raw materials and finished products. Oversee/Implements inventory procedures established by the company and accomplish an accurate account of inventory through audits and cycle counts, etc.
Salary starting at $75,000
Scope of the Role
- Oversee departmental activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements, including product integrity [dispensing operation] and production order documentation.
- Directs all related personnel through training, performance appraisal, discipline, and safety compliance.
- Monitors and oversee warehouse production activity to ensure compliance with established procedures and takes corrective action when necessary.
- Determines department priorities based on established weekly production schedules and makes daily assignments.
- Collaborates closely with Quality Services to facilitate product/component releases, and ensures budget compliance, overseeing the allocation of team overtime and meeting other annual budget objectives.
- Oversee and arranges the renewal of PNY industrial equipment.
- Oversee the maintenance contracts for PNY industrial equipment.
- Negotiate the pricing with PNY vendors for goods used in the manufacturing and Warehouse processes.
- Shares specialized experience or expertise with management in the development and implementation of on-going processes or special projects and may investigate inventory or manufacturing discrepancies and recommend process changes to eliminate repetitive problems.
- Establish and maintain an effective cycle count system for all materials used in the manufacturing and packaging of our product here at PNY.
- Participate in Inventory audits by PNY or a auding vendor, this position will be held accountable for all the finding and outcome of the audit.
Experience Required
A bachelor's degree is preferred. In lieu of a degree, must have a minimum of 4 years of leadership experience. Must have demonstrated strong leadership skills, including well-developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Have the ability to provide work direction across multiple areas. One to three years of logistics or warehouse supervision experience preferred and previous experience working in an FDA and DEA regulated industry preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
