Description Overview
The Operations Manager will oversee the 24/7 end-to-end manufacturing operations at the Perrigo, Ohio facility. They will ensure seamless coordination from raw material receipt through production to finished goods shipment. This role leads a team of seven direct reports across multiple shifts and functions, driving continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost, Production, Delivery, and People (SQCPDP) while ensuring compliance with cGMP and SOP standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills, with a preference for experience in infant nutritional or spray drying manufacturing environments.
Scope of the Role
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Lead and develop a team of supervisors and a production engineer across multiple shifts, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and drive performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and key behavioral indicators (KBIs) aligned with Operations Excellence and Work System Practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Safety, Asset Reliability, and Quality teams to identify and close performance gaps.
- Manage talent acquisition, performance evaluations, payroll, succession planning, and employee recognition programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Ensure timely implementation of repairs, modifications, and improvements resulting from audits, assessments, and loss prevention initiatives.
- Support capacity and budget planning by gathering data, evaluating trends, and presenting actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
