Description Overview

We are excited to be recruiting for a Consumer Self-Care International (CSCI) Director Logistics to lead our Distribution Network Redesign in CSCI and to drive our Transformation to have our CSCI Centre of Excellence and Control Tower fully implemented by 2025
This position will suit an experienced Supply Chain and Logistics professional with strong expertise leading business and supply chain transformations and with Logistics Teams in FMCG and/or regulated industries who is seeking a new challenge or a step to the next level and has the desire to make a difference. 

 

Scope of the Role

As CSCI Director Logistics, you will be responsible for Team of 7 responsible for Logistics, Trade Compliance, and the CSCI Network Redesign workstream including: 1 Associate Director, 4 Managers and 2 Analysts. The team will partner to maximize the customer service level and to optimize the E2E logistics costs for ~65M spend per annum. This position reports to the CSCI SVP of Supply Chain and Operations and will partner closely with our CSCI, IT, Commercial, Procurement and Supply Chain Organizations.

 Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
•   Managing, coaching, and developing a team of 7 Team Members
•    Develop the required 3–5-year Roadmap to drive the CSCI Distribution Network redesign and development of the CSCI Centre of Excellence for Logistics to meet and exceed Goals and Objectives in terms of Customer Service, Cost Savings, ESG, Innovation, Speed to market, Working Capital Improvement, Risk Mitigation, Supply Assurance, Governance and Compliance
•    Partner with Procurement in negotiations with main External Business Partners to maximize value creation and achieve the most favourable T&Cs
•    Lead the development of the main 2023-2025 pipeline initiatives for Logistics
•    Partner with our Internal Business Partners in the process to set Annual spend budget, monitor actuals, and variance reviews
•    Co-lead the Vendor Partnership Program with Tier 1 vendors and develop plans to address tier 2 and 3 in due course
•    Supporting key Corporate Business Initiatives and new product launches
•    Mitigating supply and cost risk through effective risk assessment and risk mitigation action plans balancing likelihood vs impact
•    Benchmark Best Practices and Industry trends with Internal and external business partners to build a pipeline of optimizations and value creation opportunities
•    Lead the engagement with the required internal stakeholders to guarantee success of key initiatives and projects under your scope
•    Partner in the relevant workstream to maximize synergies integrating HRA Pharma (recently acquired), and to deliver objectives from Supply Chain Reinvention Program
•    Partner to develop the business cases required to get approval on relevant tools and systems required 
•    Represent CSCI Logistics in multifunctional initiatives
•    Partner with Procurement in RFx Project Management related with Network redesign, and Supply Chain Reinvention
•    Contract Management – Partner with the Procurement and Legal Teams to manage priorities associated with contract and Terms of Business
•    Supplier Performance Management - Monitor performance and delivery of contracted services within categories in your scope
•    Reporting - Spend analysis, KPIs and Budgetary investigation
 

Experience Required

•    Bachelor's degree in business related field preferred
•    Post Graduate certifications, MBA or equivalent (desirable)
•    Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Logistics and Supply Chain with +5 years leading cross-functional Team in major transformations 
•    Fluent English speaker. Additional European Languages will be an advantage
•    Knowledge on best practices and main Industry trends
•    Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and bold targets for deliveries in terms of Customer Service, Cost optimizations, ESG, Innovation, Cash Flow and Value Creation
•    Solid track record meeting and exceeding substantial performance targets and managing Senior and Executive Stakeholders
•    Strong negotiation and influencing skills
•    High level understanding of Contract Terms and Conditions for agreements related with Logistics Categories
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines
•    Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvement
•    Advanced MS Office skills in Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
•    SAP knowledge and navigation skills
•    Knowledge in relevant tools and models like Track and Trace, TMS, and Control Tower
