We are building a centre of excellence for Procurement in Dublin and have a vacancy for a Global Sourcing Manager, Indirect Procurement. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding Team as we build and develop our category strategies across our entire Global Indirect Service and IT investments.
 

Scope of the Role

Reporting to the Global Director of Indirect Procurement, the Global Sourcing Manager, Indirect Procurement drives competitive business advantage by implementing innovative strategies for cost reduction, high quality, and timely service provision across the corporation’s non-production expenditures for goods and services. This person will be responsible for leadership and implementation of commercial strategies and service standards to support a variety of Business Teams across our Global Business. The individual will support their stakeholders in the delivery of key strategies, objectives, process improvements and metric alignment that will result in cost reduction, cost avoidance, risk mitigation and service/quality improvement to Perrigo.


•    Develop required Category Strategies to meet and exceed Goals and Objectives in terms of Cost Savings, Innovation, Speed to market, Working Capital Improvement, Inflation Mitigation, Supply Assurance and Governance and Compliance
•    Effectively communicate and build collaborative relationships with the network of Business Leads throughout the organisation.
•    Manage a designated portfolio of global savings and improvement projects
•    Identify opportunities to improve existing ways of working and tools to support spend visibility, dashboards, reports, and other business intelligence methods that drive action across our Teams.
•    Support and consult on M&A due diligence as requested
•    Lead or support acquisition integration projects as required.
•    Keep informed on Category specific industry trends and market dynamics and share information about global best practices, innovative ideas and collaborative opportunities, where relevant, with your stakeholders.
•    Support working capital initiatives through effective payment term negotiation with suppliers.
•    Contract Management – Partner with the Procurement Legal Team to manage priorities associated with contract redlines and Terms of Business
•    Supplier Performance Management - Monitor performance and delivery of contracted services within your categories
•    Reporting - Spend analysis and Budgetary investigation
 

Experience Required

•    Minimum 10 years Indirect Procurement Category Management experience at a Global Level.
•    Experience in General and Professional Services Categories; in particular in Travel and Expense Management, Corporate Cards, Fleet and Professional Service Agreements.
•    Track record of success working in a decentralized/matrix decision making environment
•    Full proficiency in use of computer tools including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SRM/SAP and other database type tools.
•    Solid track record meeting substantial material cost reduction targets
•    Coordination of multiple group efforts within the company to achieve objectives

•    Influencing - drive key improvements and initiatives through consultation and collaboration across the relevant functions, influencing the audience through provision of fact-based information and sharing potential of the opportunities identified.
