Description Overview
We are excited to be recruiting for a dedicated Product developer Nutraceuticals to join our Nutraceuticals Category Team.
This position will suit an R&D professional who is seeking a new challenge and has the desire to make a difference.
As Product developer Nutraceuticals you will be responsible for identifying and developing innovation opportunities in order to broaden the company's product and brand portfolio.
The Product developer Nutraceuticals is also responsible for the scientific and clinical support for the portfolio.
This position reports to Senior Innovation manager & Lead VMS and will collaborate closely with Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Sourcing and our external development partners.

Scope of the Role
- Translate the latest trends in Nutraceuticals into innovative propositions for new products (by seeking new active ingredients, interesting supplier formulas, new galenic formats.…)
- Support in development and reformulation projects with Nutraceuticals expert knowledge
- Work closely together with the Clinical team in setting up, conducting, assessing and utilizing clinical studies
- Provide scientific & clinical support to the other functions & affiliates for the existing product portfolio
Experience Required
- Master degree in sciences (preferably Pharmaceutical Science, Bio-Science, Nutritional Science or Food Science) or equivalent by experience
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in the pharmaceutical or in the nutrition industry
- Strong technical and scientific background as well as a strong affinity for marketing of consumer goods
- Passion for formulation design
- Solid knowledge of food supplements and a good understanding of their legal / regulatory aspects
- Well-organized communicator who likes to take ownership
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and to collaborate closely with other departments
- Nice to have skills
- Ideally practical experience in sensory evaluation (organisation and execution)
- Ideally experience in KOL management
- Ideally practical and/or profonde theoretic experience in formulation development of Nutraceuticals for cholesterol management, mental health and menopause.
- Travel requirement: Occasional need to travel to suppliers, fairs, workshops and team meetings (approximately once per month)
- Language requirement: fluent in both written and spoken English
