Description Overview
The Associate HR Generalist will provide general personnel service throughout plant functions at Perrigo Vermont. This person plays a key role in creating and maintaining positive employee relations within the organization. They will help foster a healthy and productive work environment, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws. The Associate HR Generalist will be a trusted advisor to both employees and management, providing guidance and support in all matters related to employee relations. Additionally, this person will take on a variety of HR administrative duties. This position reports into the HR Business Partner.
This will be a temporary Assignment
Scope of the Role
- Provides advice to employees and management on employee relations issues, including but not limited to, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and performance management.
- Partners and/or leads investigations, ensuring a fair and unbiased approach, maintaining clear documentation and strict confidentiality.
- Assists with HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement, diversity and inclusion programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Maintains employee personnel and medical files for 450+ employees ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Meets with new hires to review benefit enrollment process. Conducts benefits overview presentation during orientation.
- Manages and administers the employee recognition program.
- Performs HR administrative duties including but not limited to: Processing HR bills, temporary employee timecards, locker searches, employee birthday cards, sorting employee paychecks, bulletin board postings, filing paperwork, etc.
Experience Required
- 2-4 year degree in human resources, business, or closely related field
- 3+ year of experience in an HR related role.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Attention to detail, communication skills, critical thinking, and time management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems.
- Availability to flex schedule on occasion for off-shift HR needs
