Description Overview

Perrigo Nutritionals, in Georgia, VT is looking to add a QA Technician to their team.

 

This is a Day shift role working on a rotating 12 hour schedule (2-2-3) 6am - 6pm (Requiring shift, weekend, and holiday work when applicable)

Scope of the Role

 

  • Provide quality input and support for the operations group. This includes providing quality support to plant operation by facilitating continuous improvement initiatives, assisting in investigations, and collaborating with plant personnel to identify and resolve compliance issues.
  • Quality audits focused on compliance to requirements (FDA, cGMP, SQF, ISO, HACCP, etc.)
  • Communicate and document findings from each audit focused on continual quality improvement and cGMP compliance.
  • Escalate any food safety concerns.
  • Develop/modify forms, work instructions and standard operating procedures as regulatory requirements change and helps train and incorporate these requirements as required.

Experience Required

 

Required Experience:

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Sound people skills
  • An interest, understanding and passion for food safety and food quality
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Comfortable with computer systems such as word and excel
  • Self-motivated
  • Must be a team player

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in an FDA regulated or food industry including a QA/QC role.
  • Experience auditing and/or quality inspecting.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the interactions of complex business compliance practices.
  • Understanding of Corrective Action and Preventive Action.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, not required.
