Description Overview
Perrigo are now seeking an Associate Supplier Relationship Manager to join our growing Procurement Operations Team to support our Oral Healthcare division. Join with us as we solidify our vision to make “lives better by bringing quality and affordable self-care products that consumers trust everywhere they are sold”.
Our Associate Supplier Relationship Managers are critical to our success and vision fulfilment. As a valued Associate Supplier Relationship Manager, you will be a designated liaison for material or external manufacturing suppliers for assigned sites. It will be your responsibility to interact with suppliers to ensure exceptional standards are met and maintained in the arenas of customer service, quality, and supply chain.
Scope of the Role
- Manage an external Oral Healthcare manufacturing supply portfolio
- Manage key relationships with CMOs to secure and improve supply base for all categories
- Responsible for coordinating supply chain activities for required materials and execution of tactical procurement processes, including capacity tracking and reporting of supplier capabilities within the category portfolio
- Proactively monitor and resolve potential material misses and track, expedite, and micro-manage critical orders
- Responsible for internal and external customer service level standards, strategic inventory, and key metrics. Understands supplier downtime, communication of potential shortages
- Conducts material planning for deliveries to plants (MRP review, issuing purchase orders, timing of deliveries, preparing and monitoring forecasts management, inventory management, conversions support, etc.)
- Maintain purchasing databases to ensure integrity of system data such as lead times, MOQ data and provide necessary information to sourcing managers, manager and others as needed
- Manage inventory levels of assigned commodities to maintain a balance of material availability while optimizing DOH
- Initiate and support process improvements (Perrigo and/or Supplier) to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the entire supply chain
- Use purchasing tools to analyze, evaluate supplier performances KPI’s and work with suppliers for improvements as necessary
- Company and supplier liaison to help facilitate the resolution of quality deviations, rejections, and advisories
- Supports invoice investigation and resolution, logistics supply chain process, contractual obligations
- Review and ensures alignment of supplier specifications, resolve all discrepancies between Company and suppliers
- Site lead for projects that include new product development, alternate sources, and product life cycle management within the category
- Support integration activities for new product lines, new acquisitions, and system implementations
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administrations, or related field required
- Purchasing experience in an Oral Healthcare or Consumer goods environment.
- Strong supply chain acumen. Ideally experienced in end-to-end supply chain.
- Strong Planning and problem-solving skills. Think of alternative solutions, be able to propose solutions. Not just fact finder but come up with proposals for resolution
- Excellent communication skills, dealing with a broad range of groups at all levels of the organization
- Interpersonal skills with ability to influence decision makers
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Attention to detail, comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), SAP experience preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Knowledge a plus
- Ability to work independently, good time management skills, and organizational and interpersonal skills
