Description Overview
This role will serve as a key digital partner to the Global Marketing team developing brands and digital marketing strategies. This role will drive development of business-facing applications to enable the digital marketing strategy and ensure harmonization of business and digital roadmaps. The role will report direct to the CTO and be responsible for managing Global Marketing relationships, ideation and business cases, new product design and positioning, and product launch including development and testing. The Business Technology Leader (BTL) may have a team of direct reports.
Candidates will ideally be located near a Perrigo site in West Michigan or New Jersey - but will consider candidates that require to work remotely.
Scope of the Role
Manage business relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager between the IT organization and the business
- Monitor the changing technological landscape to effectively advocate for innovative uses of technology for the business
Ideation & business case
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify technology solutions and improvements to resolve business problems
- Collaborate with the business to develop business cases including opportunity size and pro-forma financials with support from finance
- Establish and lead review team for new product requirements
New product design and positioning
- Draft the Product Requirements Document (PRD), or a detailed description of product technical requirements
- Design and develop overall user experience
- Coordinate with product and platform owners to design product roadmaps and develop products
Product launch, development, and testing
- Track overall progress and make trade-off decisions between content and timing
- Ensure product and/or platform(s) are deployed to production environment and user acceptance testing is conducted
- Confirm timely delivery of high-quality launches according development and deployment plans
- Identify and execute on improvements to performance and reliability
Additional, shared accountabilities include:
- Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture to define product/platform strategy and provide input on resourcing (internal & external)
- Rely on Product Owners to develop additional relevant products
- Rely on Product Owners to implement defined changes to create a consistent and compelling user experience
- Establish a customer feedback process with service and sales that gets incorporated into product plans
Experience Required
- Digital and business knowledge to manage digital delivery process E2E
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
- Certified/experienced in project management methodology
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and make decisions
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills (8-10+ years)
- Proven track record of leading successful digital transformation projects
- Execution and problem-solving capacity
- Ability to create compelling future customer experiences by understanding intersection of market, technology, competitive forces
- Assertive communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated passion for human-centered products and services
- These skills are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree or a Masters degree in Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; combined with 10-15 years of experience in product roles and technology or digital strategy
