Description Overview

The primary responsibilities of this role are to support the global financial planning and reporting processes including annual and long-term plans and projections as well as monthly/quarterly reporting, and supporting the financial systems used for these processes. This role requires thought leadership across both process and reporting design as well as strong collaboration with Business Unit finance, Operations Finance, Treasury, Tax and Accounting teams among others.

Scope of the Role

  • General support for all Planning/Forecasting activities, including setting the project plan and timelines, preparing and maintaining financial systems throughout the process, consolidation and analysis of submissions, and preparation of materials for Executive-level reviews.
  • Primary administrator for the Adaptive Insights planning tool, with responsibilities including plan and forecast data transfer and reconciliation to other financial systems, maintenance of user security, dimensions, data copying and archiving, and maintaining current documentation of processes and procedures related to all Adaptive Insights tasks.
  • FP&A administrator for BPC planning system, with responsibilities including maintenance of foreign currency exchange rates, system security and locking, version control and copying, and other related tasks.  Includes strong collaboration with other teams responsible for systems and data, including Financial Reporting and IT&S.
  • Key resource for business user support for both Adaptive and BPC systems.  Assist users in resolving access or other security issues, investigating data integrity problems, and proposing functionality enhancements when required.
  • Contribute along with the broader FP&A team to global department support, monthly and quarterly reporting, presentation preparation and tie-out, and other regular or ad-hoc tasks; preparer of key management reports distributed to Executive Leadership.
  • Contribute along with the broader FP&A team to template and report development to drive efficiency and consistency of data inputs and outputs across the business.
  • Contribute on an as-needed basis to ongoing project and initiatives, especially those related to financial systems and reporting, but also ad-hoc requests for ad-hoc analysis and presentations.
  • Identify and implement any key process improvements on a continuous basis to optimize financial planning systems and processes within Perrigo.

Experience Required

  • This individual should have excellent analytical skills, have displayed an ability to collaborate with others outside of their immediate team, be able to influence and drive change, adapt quickly to changing needs in a fluid environment, while displaying a strong commitment to deliver results within required timelines.
  • High level of commercial and financial acumen with the ability to formulate and clearly communicate analysis, insight, and recommendations.
  • Requires expert MS Excel/PPT skills; SAP/Power BI experience is a strong plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • These skills are normally acquired through completion of bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related business field along with 1-3 or more years of experience in finance in a large company setting.
