Description Overview

The digital business analyst (DBA) oversees the company’s digital footprint and bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions.   Acting as the first line of communication with business stakeholders to ensure quality and timely business support.  The DBA works with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance performance through technology optimization and improved digital practices. This includes identifying and quantifying shortcomings and inefficiencies within existing applications and processes and working cross-functionally to implement improvements and portfolio optimizations. A broad knowledge of digital technologies and how they can be applied to improve marketing and sales operations.

Scope of the Role

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand goals, objectives, and challenges and conduct in-depth analysis to translate them into actions in the form of a roadmap with financial and business benefits
  • Ensure global alignment between regions for strategy & tactical plans
  • Provide guidance and expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on technical, systems, or process-related topics
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop the business case and requirements and collaborate with technical teams to determine feasibility, specifications/design, and estimates for digital solutions
  • Monitor progress for projects and support and report potential risks or issues.Support Business Technology Lead by identifying trends, patterns, and insights that can improve business and IT processes
    • Analyzing the digital application portfolio to determine usage, usability, and fit in the technology portfolio
    • Monitor support and ticketing systems to detect and assess for improvement opportunities
    • Responsible for the collection and maintenance of key KPIs
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and understand how this may be used in the organization

Experience Required

  • Knowledge and experience with Marketing Technologies (MarTech, Adtech), current trends, and how they can be translated into business and consumer use
  • Working knowledge of digital principles and technologies for promoting and selling products online. This includes lead generation, marketing strategies, tactics, sales techniques, e-commerce and reporting
  • Knowledge of digital platforms supporting the production and syndication of content to support marketing activities
  • Knowledge of customer service technologies, principles, and processes for direct-to-consumer and Business to Business support  
  • Working knowledge of internal mechanics of IT, including Agile principles and DevOps
  • Strong inductive reasoning, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with business process modeling and requirements-gathering techniques
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
  • Experience with digital technologies and platforms (e.g., Salesforce, websites, mobile apps, cloud computing (Azure, Google, AWS, Snowflake) etc.)
  • These skills are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field; combined with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant work experience
