Description Overview

This position is responsible for a team that handles production materials in a safe work environment, while assuring compliance with relevant government regulations, at a level of quality that meets or exceeds the customer expectations and supports company objectives. Accountable for ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the business run smoothly, driving continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, cost reduction, quality improvements, and safety. The Supervisor is also accountable for building a positive working relationship with each of the employees and other departments throughout the organization.

Scope of the Role

Effectively manage a team of direct reports, ensuring their development, delegation of appropriate work and ensure best practices are being followed and developed.
Ensure that each report has objectives, timely performance reviews, and appropriate career coaching
Ensure that each associate has the necessary skills to meet their job expectations
Additional responsibilities for coordinating and/or leading continuous improvement, general projects, and administrative activities across multiple shifts
Coordinate and provide analysis of business unit metrics along with areas of focus for improvement.
Allocate, lead, and coach resources to root cause problem solving environment
Maintain necessary capacity through effective planning and staffing
Ability to manage projects to timely completion and within budget
Ensure TMS is up to date for employees
Support effective implementation of all GMP requirements and understand how it affect products/processes supported and/or owned.

Experience Required

Minimum of 3-5 years of successful manufacturing supervision experience or bachelor’s degree
Experience with ERP and shop floor control systems preferably in an FDA/GMP regulated environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Experienced in Lean methodologies, Lean Champion preferred
Experience in production planning and MRP systems as this role requires
