1st Shift - Facilities HVAC Dual Trade

Description Overview

Reporting to the Facility Asset Reliability Supervisor, this position will be responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of the mechanical and plumbing aspects of manufacturing, packaging, and facilities HVAC equipment in Michigan. Responsibilities include completing general work orders in SAP, performing routine preventative maintenance on equipment, interfacing with other technicians, contractors, and engineers across 3 shifts in a team environment. This position will also be responsible for ordering parts and adhering to a timeline for work completion.  

Scope of the Role

  • This individual will perform inspections, maintenance and repairs of Production and Facility HVAC Equipment.
  • This individual will perform plumbing inspections, maintenance and repairs for Michigan based facilities.

Willingness to mentor apprentices

Experience Required

    • A State of Michigan licensed HVAC Journey worker is preferred. If not licensed, must be able to complete an HVAC apprenticeship and will be required to gain their license in the State of Michigan
    • A State of Michigan licensed Plumbing Journey worker is preferred. If not licensed, must be able to complete an HVAC apprenticeship and will be required to gain their license in the State of Michigan
    • High School Diploma/GED required
    • Experience in a Mechanical or Electrical trade preferred.
    • Demonstrated cooperative work conduct and the ability to work independently. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. 
    • Strong oral and written communication skills required.  Strong computer skills, ability to read and work from blueprints, good math skills and demonstrated cooperative work conduct, preferred.
    • Demonstrated commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines through good attendance and willingness to work overtime, including some holidays, weekends, are also necessary
    • Working from ladders, lifts, heavy lifting, and own transportation are necessary and essential functions of the job.
