Description Overview


The Customer Supply Manager is responsible for leading a team of 6 Customer Supply Analysts to deliver exceptional customer collaboration, focused forecasting, and end-to-end efficiency and sustainability in the supply chain process. This role requires a strong background in supply chain management, excellent leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach. The Customer Supply Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Logistics, to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products to customers, while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability initiatives.

Scope of the Role


Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership:   

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6 supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and team success.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment that promotes innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence.
  • Set clear performance expectations, monitor team performance, and provide regular feedback to drive continuous development.

2. Customer Collaboration:

  • Establish strong relationships with key customers and collaborate closely to understand their unique requirements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Proactively engage with customers to ensure their needs are met and provide exceptional service throughout the supply chain process.
  • Drive regular communication and feedback loops with customers to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions that enhance the customer experience.

3. Focused Forecasting:

  • Develop and implement a robust forecasting process, working closely with sales teams and utilising market intelligence to accurately predict customer demand.
  • Analyse historical data, market trends, and customer insights to refine forecasts and improve accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align supply chain planning and production with customer demand, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimising stockouts or excess inventory.

4. End-to-End Efficiency:

  • Continuously evaluate and optimise the end-to-end supply chain processes, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and enhance supply chain agility.
  • Implement and utilise appropriate supply chain management tools and technologies to improve visibility, traceability, and responsiveness.

5. Sustainability:

  • Drive sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement environmentally friendly practices.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure sustainable sourcing and ethical practices throughout the supply chain.
  • Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving the organisation towards its sustainability goals.

6. Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain relevant reports and dashboards to track key supply chain metrics, including customer service levels, order fulfilment, and supply chain costs.
  •  Conduct regular performance reviews with customers, sharing insights and recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
  •  Prepare executive-level presentations to communicate the supply chain performance, achievements, and improvement initiatives.

Experience Required


  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a related field of Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on customer collaboration.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers, cross-functional teams, and senior management.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, forecasting techniques, and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements and implementing supply chain technologies.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and the ability to integrate sustainability into supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
