Description Overview
Finance Business Partner – MTO (Export, Ireland, Contract)
We are excited to be recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic Finance team in London. This role plays a key part in supporting the Make To Order (MTO) businesses—including Export, Ireland, and Contract—with a strong focus on commercial reporting, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
Reporting to the Cluster Finance Director, you will act as an advisor to commercial leaders, identifying performance gaps, providing actionable insights, supporting decision-making, and ensuring robust financial governance. Your insights will help shape commercial strategies and ensure delivery - or over delivery - of the Plan.
Scope of the Role
- Commercial Finance Leadership: Partner with commercial teams to identify risks and opportunities in Net Sales and Gross Margin, driving actions that enhance performance.
- Commercial Reporting & Analysis: Deliver accurate and timely reporting for MTO businesses, with a focus on Export. Monitor sales performance, identify trends, and support commercial decision-making.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency across reporting and planning processes.
- Forecasting & Planning: Contribute to the S&OE/IBP forecasting cycles, focusing on risks and opportunities, pricing, and G2N. Collaborate closely with Cluster FP&A to align forecasts with business goals.
- Ad Hoc Analysis & Decision Support: Provide scenario modelling and financial insights to support key business initiatives and commercial strategies.
- Governance & Controls: Ensure financial accuracy in reporting, support accrual processes, and maintain compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Help streamline reporting processes and contribute to the development of tools and dashboards (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to enhance visibility and efficiency.
Experience Required
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field and/or professional accounting qualification.
- Typically, 2+ years of experience in similar finance roles, ideally within a commercial business unit.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work with people at all levels in the organization.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
- Solid understanding of commercial functions (Sales, R&D, Marketing), Supply Chain, and regional/central operations.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
