Description Overview
We are currently seeking a passionate internal communications professional to join our Consumer Self-Care International (CSCI) business segment. This is newly created role reports to CSCI HR VP and works closely with Perrigo’s Global Investors and Corporate Communications team and with the in-country communication representatives. The role can be based in London.
Scope of the Role
The CSCI Internal Communications Manager builds an understanding of the business and corporate strategy and partners with individuals across the organization to develop, manage and execute the internal communications for CSCI and its business affiliates across 27 countries. This person must be comfortable working with senior leaders in a fast-paced environment, be an excellent writer, effectively collaborate across geographical regions and time zones, and have a curious mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with CSCI senior leaders and individuals at all levels/functions of the organization to develop and execute integrated communications strategies across CSCI and within certain geographies that drive understanding and delivery of the segment’s overall business objectives.
- Develop a range of high-quality communication materials, including newsletters, organization announcements, talking points, Q&A documents, leadership presentations, intranet articles, town hall presentations, promotional materials for regional events and more.
- Working with representatives across CSCI affiliates, identify stories related to local community and charity efforts, Diversity, Inclusion & Equity initiatives, successful projects and other achievements that can be elevated for potential inclusion in corporate intranet and social media posts.
- Manage the dissemination of information throughout CSCI or by partnering with Human Resources, Global Investor Relations and Corporate and others, as needed.
- Supports communications related to issues management, change management initiatives and key projects, working closely with CSCI leadership, Human Resources, Legal and Global Investor Relations and Corporate Communications to ensure alignment with works council requirements, country-level employment rules and relevant regulations.
- Ensure communication materials produced reinforce and drive Perrigo’s brand, sense of purpose, vision, pride, culture and core values in alignment with corporate objectives and priorities.
- Measure the effectiveness of internal communications and vehicles on an ongoing basis and make recommendations to amend the strategy as appropriate in increasing effectiveness.
- Translates business and people topics into key messages that can be effectively incorporated into a wide range of communication mediums, including F2F, written and digital channels.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 7 years in the field ideally with a global or publicly traded organization.
- University degree in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations preferred.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with employees/potential external candidates and senior-level leaders
- Strong planning, project management, administrative, and organizational skills; attention to detail is a must.
- Ability to simultaneously manage numerous projects and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong ability to collaborate with multiple teams/constituents and drive to a consensus, including managing expectations among changing priorities.
- Ability to handle confidential company information.
- Experience in an international / matrixed organization, working with multiple stakeholders, and across time zones.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications a plus.
