Description Overview

 

Are you curious by nature? Are you proactive and passionate about transforming consumer data insights into strategic business reports? We are hiring an experienced Lead Analyst for our International OTC business unit in one of our European head offices.

Scope of the Role

In this new created role, you will:
Set up for success the way we buy, track & report consumer sell-out data for the OTC business unit.

 

Buy: 

  • Become the lead contact for our key consumer sales data suppliers for Europe (e.g. IQVIA, Nielsen, Circana,…)
  • Lead the data buying harmonisation by coordinating the relevant OTC categories & channels across the different countries to drive consistency across Europe.
  • Identify potential synergies across different countries & systems to drive standardisation in data buying and reporting.
  • Support the local and central teams in any question or additional requests across the different categories.

 

Track:

  • Retrieve, aggregate & structure consumer sales data across categories from the local commercial teams & internal data platforms. 
  • Be the data visualization expert by developing dynamic, accessible & insightful reports and dashboards through different tools, including but not limited to PowerBI and Excel.
  • Follow-up on deployed Lead & Build Selling Out reports and dashboards across OTC categories and identify ways for continuous improvement to ensure user adoption and elevation of insights.
  • Support local and central teams in their transformation towards more dynamic, insightful & visual tools, enabling more data-driven decision-making. This is by providing advice and coaching, not (necessarily) by creating reports for them.
  • Phase 2: Identifying automation and process improvement opportunities and working with technical teams to implement solutions for merging databases from different sources (e.g. Nielsen, IQVIA,…) and build data models that allow aggregating data across various sources.

 

Report: 

  • Summarize and interpret the data from the local and central platforms to provide actionable insights & recommendations in response to business needs, ensuring one cohesive source of truth across categories & markets. 
  • Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders gathering local market/business information to contextualize the data and elaborate understanding of  market performance trends  
  • Be a trusted, valued business partner to the OTC marketing leadership team through the delivery of advanced analysis and relevant insights both on micro and macro level with an understanding of market dynamics and category strategy and objectives
  • Lead regular reporting presentations for the leadership team & local/central commercial teams.
  • Support end-users with analytical instructions, answering data related questions, and evaluating their feedback to improve reporting.

Experience Required

 

What you will need to be successful:

  • Passion for digging into data, extracting insights, and creating actionable recommendations.
  • Possess business acumen and an end-user empathy: the candidate must be able to understand the market landscape and business strategy, place themself in the end-user position and know what is the right data source, visualization and interpretation that will lead to a high adoption rate of the reports.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail: strong organization, time management skills and ability to work autonomously. Results-oriented with the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with a good and proactive stakeholder engagement skill.
  • Ability to create structure, templates and ways of working to drive actions and efficiency. This role being a new role, it’s critical for the right candidate to be able to navigate grey and thrive through driving clarity and build structure.  
  • Leadership and stakeholder management skills: understand and aggregate the needs from various stakeholders, ability to be influence peers, leadership, external partners & local teams.
  • Fast & eager to learn: ability to quickly learn software applications or other new technology needed for analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerBI skills. Experience with IQVIA, IRI, Nielsen, or other syndicated data sources is preferred.


Must haves: 

  • Minimum 6 years of business intelligence/analytics with specific experience in building (new) data visualization/reporting solutions. Preferably in an FMCG, Consumer Health, or Retail environment.
  • Experience with data aggregation/transformation projects, multi-country data merging/reporting and new software implementation is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in remote team.
  • Open to travel within Europe: approx. 10% of the time.
