Description Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Market and Consumer Insights and Analytics to lead our Global efforts in understanding and leveraging market dynamics, consumer behaviors, industry trends, and advanced analytics to help design and deliver the Women’s Health portfolio for the next 10 years. This high-impact role will be instrumental in shaping the future of Perrigo’s Women’s Health Global plans, building on the launch of Opill in the US and on our existing leadership in emergency contraception in Europe. In specific, this role will help shape our strategic initiatives, inform and prioritize our innovation pipeline, and define/enhance our market position. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and empathetic leader with deep expertise in market research, consumer insights, analytics, and data science within the consumer health sector (bonus points if the candidate has experience in Women’s health in particular).

Scope of the Role

Strategy:

Grow insights capability and mentor a team of market researchers (sitting on both the US and Europe). Influence beyond Women’s Health to help grow total org capability.

Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on market opportunities, competitive landscape, consumer trends, and data-driven insights. 

Serve as the right-hand for the Global WH VP in developing and executing a comprehensive market and consumer insights and analytics strategy aligned with the Women’s Health Organization’s goals and objectives.

 

Market Research and Analysis:

Oversee the design, execution, and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative research studies.

Analyze market trends, consumer behaviors, and industry developments to provide actionable insights.

Monitor and assess competitive activities and market positioning to inform strategic decisions.

 

Consumer Insights and Analytics:

Develop a deep understanding of consumer needs, preferences, and pain points through various research methodologies and advanced analytics.

Utilize advanced analytics, machine learning, and data visualization tools to translate insights into compelling narratives and business recommendations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consumer insights and analytics influence product innovation and marketing strategies.

 

Data Analytics and Technology:

Leverage big data, predictive analytics, and advanced analytics techniques to enhance consumer understanding and predictive capabilities.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in market research, consumer insights, and analytics.

Implement state-of-the-art tools and platforms for data collection, analysis, and reporting.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, marketing, product development, and sales teams.

Present insights, analytics, and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.

Experience Required

  • Significant experience in the insights space to enable the ability to break historical ways of working and experiment to a more agile mentality.
  • Proficient in various market research techniques, including both qualitative and quantitative methods; Experience using these tools for innovation development strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of syndicated research tools (e.g. Nielsen, Circana, etc)
  • Proven ability to distill insights and drive impact into an organization – bringing the consumer to forefront
  • Strong ability to influence laterally and vertically
  • High level of tolerance for working in ambiguity, leading change and motivating change management
  • Proficient at storytelling in creative and impactful ways - excellent communication, organization and presentation skills (written, oral, and across Microsoft Office Suite)
  • These skills are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelors or Masters (preferred) degree; combined with a minimum of 12+ years in a strategic insights/consumer research role, preferably at a pharma or consumer health manufacturer
