Description Overview

In this role you will ead the team of Cluster Demand Planners on both short-term and long-term market demand forecasting processes and you will work collaboratively with the Market organization and ensure forecast accuracy and bias aligns with set targets.
 

Scope of the Role

●    Lead Demand Planning Review and Sign-off process at Cluster Level along with key assumptions and building blocks that drive changes month on month;
●    Ensure the demand planning review processes happen on time, helping the multifunctional team to comply with the requirements and actively participate and contribute as per their defined roles.
●    Lead and develop Demand Planners within the Cluster. Leadership responsibilities include seamless collaboration with Commercial team.
●    Oversee the monthly governance process to monitor progress and take corrective actions when required. 
●    Ensure that systems and processes are in line with global demand planning standards;
●    Ensure smooth role-out of SAP IBP and related processes across the Cluster and related Markets
●    Utilize experience with demand forecasting platforms (SAP IBP) and other planning systems, to drive efficiency and accuracy in our planning processes (stat forecast vs forecast enrichment);
●    Align strategic roadmap with key stakeholders across functions, hierarchy and different parts of the business;
●    Address demand-planning process related issues like a fragmented approach to forecasting demand or difficulty in acquiring information from siloed teams in a timely and effective manner;
●    Develop in-depth understanding of category trends, brands’ market share & performance within categories and stock in trade visibility to leverage forecast capabilities
●    Support the hiring, training and onboarding of new demand planning coordinators within the Cluster;
●    Enable process design through technology and analytics;
●    Track KPIs and benefits into the business;
●    Ensure actions to improve demand-planning performance are in place and track the progress;
●    Demonstrate sound business decision making aligned with company goals;
 

Experience Required

This role requires the following experience(preferably from Consumer Self-Care, FMCG industry)

  • 5+ years experience in Demand Planning
  • 10+ years experience in Supply Chain 
  • Experience in people management
  • Fluency in German and English 
  • Master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Office, ERP, SAP IBP
