Description Overview

The Travel Operations Specialist will support the Global Travel Category team through cross functional alignment between PBS Finance Europe & US (Expense), Treasury (Credit Cards), Travel Security and the Global Travel Category strategic sourcing team to ensure employees can book seamlessly and travel in a safe manner within Perrigo’s company policy.

Scope of the Role

Vendor & Subcategory Management (General Procurement):

  • Ensure the evolving Perrigo Travel Policy is fully reflective within Concur Travel.
  • Maintain live travel for all 29 countries on the AMEX Concur Platform.
  • Monitor countries through reporting to ensure leakage can be dealt with accordingly.
  • Develop subcategories to ensure full value for Perrigo, including:
      • Development & upkeep of hotel contract strategy.
      • Airline contract maintenance.
      • Car hire contract maintenance.
      • Ground transport sub-category development.
      • Travel security maintenance.
      • Ensure Receipt Management variables are available for all users.

Travel Category Support (Admin):

  • Resolve day-to-day queries through fostered cross-functional and external relationships.
  • Manage disputes on all related travel queries.
  • Log and support all relative technical queries.
  • Ensure involvement and resolution through all crisis management activities.
  • Provide budget support through reporting and other requested activities from FP&A.
  • Provide sustainability reporting when requested from the Sustainability Council.
  • Manage airline credits.
  • Act as the travel lead for all cross-functional activities, including travel policy updates and Concur integration.
  • Ensure a close working relationship with company EAs and internal audit to enable continuous improvement within the travel category.
  • Provide requested data analysis and reporting.

General Procurement Activities (Indirect Procurement Tasks):

  • Prepare and lead quarterly business reviews with AMEX.
  • Prepare and lead bi-annual/annual cross-functional SRMs with Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers.
  • Lead RFP on all sub-category activity.
  • Further develop subcategories and vendors compatible with Concur Expense (e.g., Taxi (Uber) compatible with Concur Expense).
  • Maintain the travel and expense category strategy.

Experience Required

  • Completion of college education (A-Level equivalent or higher); degree in Business, Materials Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or related operational roles.
  • Good communicator; including regular communication with executive levels and cultural sensitivity globally
  • English: strong
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Familiar with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP compliance expectations
