Description Overview

The Artwork Team Lead PBS will oversee the operational management and strategic oversight of the centralized artwork processes for both branded and store brand products. This role ensures robust data coordination, master data governance, and effective communication between internal teams and external partners. The successful individual  will drive process excellence, manage capacity and performance, and serve as the primary liaison for approvals, vendor coordination, and quality assurance at the Perrigo Business Services (PBS) Centre. 

Scope of the Role

  • Manage and mentor a team of artwork coordinators and designers. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality, compliant artwork. 
  • Oversee data coordination and master data across AMS, SAP, and customer portals. 
  • Ensure proper routing, review, and updates of artwork modifications. 
  • Establish and track KPIs and SLAs to drive continuous improvement. 
  • Provide day-to-day supervision for the artwork team including hiring, training, performance management, mentoring, and development. 
  • Manage and record performance metrics, prepare statistical and management reports for Artwork leadership, and complete necessary documentation. 
  • Liaise with functional or operational area managers to ensure that design activities are integrated with other parts of the business and appropriate for current and future manufacturing activities. 
  • Oversee the most complex, large, or difficult projects, review technical feasibility of proposed solutions. 
  • Assist with strategic planning, participate in continuous improvement, and lead projects for the artwork function. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Manage, mentor, and evaluate the team, ensuring effective workload distribution and capacity planning. 
  • Training: Deliver regular knowledge transfer and training sessions. 
  • Data Coordination: Oversee master data coordination across AMS, SAP, and customer portals, ensuring accurate data migration and updates. 
  • Artwork Review: Ensure artwork guidelines are aligned with marketing/brand teams; manage artwork review and revisions. 
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary contact for internal stakeholders (Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, CMOs) and manage interactions with external teams (DTP agencies, suppliers). 
  • Project Management: Supervise system migration projects and collection of SKU data. 
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and track KPIs and SLAs, collaborate with the in market (Business Unit) Team to drive corrective actions and root cause analyses for quality and post-production issues. 
  • Communication: Manage the preparation and circulation of meeting materials, status reports, and communication documents; oversee playbook updates and technical adjustments. 
  • Supervision: Provide day-to-day supervision for the artwork team including hiring, training, performance management, mentoring, and development. 
  • Performance Metrics: Manage and record performance metrics, prepare statistical and management reports for artwork leadership, and complete necessary documentation. 
  • Integration: Liaise with functional or operational area managers to ensure that design activities are integrated with other parts of the business and appropriate for current and future manufacturing activities. 
  • Complex Projects: Oversee the most complex, large, or difficult projects, review technical feasibility of proposed solutions. 
  • Strategic Planning: Assist with strategic planning, participate in continuous improvement, and lead projects for the artwork function. 

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 4 years in the field and 1 year of supervisory experience. 
  • University Degree or equivalent. 
  • Knowledge of Artwork Management Systems (AMS) such as esko WebCenter, SAP, or similar systems. 
    Strong communication, people management, leadership, and project management skills. 
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and take initiatives. 
  • Good organization and multitasking abilities. 
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
