Description Overview

The Automation Specialist supports Finance by identifying and implementing process improvements through automation. This role involves analyzing workflows, uncovering inefficiencies, and translating business needs into effective, technology-driven solutions. By collaborating with stakeholders and leveraging automation tools, the specialist helps streamline operations, reduce manual tasks, and ensure compliance with financial standards. The role also contributes to the ongoing enhancement of automation initiatives to align with evolving business goals.

Scope of the Role

• Collaborates with Finance teams and subject matter experts to document process flows, business requirements, and value drivers for automation opportunities.
• Designs and proposes automation solutions that meet business needs, supporting decision-making around configuration, customization, and process changes.
• Works closely with IT teams—including developers, infrastructure, and project managers—to ensure seamless integration and delivery of automation solutions.
• Provides ongoing support for automation tools and processes, including issue resolution, user guidance, and root cause analysis.
• Reviews, tests, and deploys enhancements, interfaces, and customizations related to Finance automation initiatives.
• Offers subject matter expertise and guidance within the team.
• Manages and maintains appropriate security roles and access controls for automation systems.

Experience Required

University Degree; Typically a minimum of 4 years work experience required
