Description Overview

This is a high-impact position responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data integration solutions across the organization. The Data Integration Architect will work closely with various departments to ensure seamless data flow and integration, supporting the company's strategic goals.

Scope of the Role

Strategic Planning and Process Improvement:

  • Lead initiatives to streamline data integration processes, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall business strategy.
  • Develop and implement best practices for data integration workflows, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize data integration and reduce costs.
  • Drive transformational change by transitioning from point-to-point data integration to an API-driven model.

 

Technology and Tools Management:

  • Manage and implement data integration tools, with a strong emphasis on MuleSoft.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP IS and PI/PO.
  • Oversee the integration of data systems with other business systems, such as Salesforce CRM, SAP ERP, SAP cFIN, and similar systems.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all integrated systems.
  • Design and implement a three-tier API architecture to support scalable and efficient data integration and API reusability.

 

Project Leadership:

  • Drive and guide technical decision-making on data integration projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement data integration strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes.

 

Data Governance and Compliance:

  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure data integration processes meet compliance standards.

 

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Help create a data integration center of excellence.
  • Mentor and guide a team of data integration specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Coordinate training programs for team members and other stakeholders to enhance data integration capabilities.

Experience Required

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in data integration, data architecture, or similar roles.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale data integration projects and working with complex data environments.
  • Extensive experience with MuleSoft and designing three-tier API architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading transformational change from point-to-point data integration to an API-driven model.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in MuleSoft/Anypoint and other data integration tools and technologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design effective data integration solutions.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering successful data integration projects.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific data integration challenges and best practices.
  • These skills are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; combined with 15 years of experience with data integration
  • Masters Degree Preferred
  • Certification in TOGAF, CDMP, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architecture, or Anypoint Platform Architect preferred
