Description Overview

Reporting to the PMI Facilities Asset Reliability Supervisor this position will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of boilers and boiler systems across facilities in both Allegan and Holland. This position will be required to work without direct supervision.

Scope of the Role

The incumbent will be required to cross train in other facility support systems and support other maintenance teams daily and plant shut down situations. Utilization of the companies Building Management System and Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP) will be required. Incumbent must have their own transportation as they will be required to travel between facilities.

Experience Required

Boiler technician journeyman card or equivalent

Experience with maintenance and asset reliability is preferred.

Other requirements include:

  • Physically able to:
    • travel between plants
    • use tools of the trade to execute physically demanding tasks in awkward positions
    • perform work in mechanical spaces that may be at elevated temperatures
    • pick up and adjust or move items 60 pounds or more in awkward positions daily
    • work from ladders and lifts
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Strong computer
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints
  • Good math skills
  • Commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines through good attendance
  • Willingness to work overtime, including some holidays and weekends
