Description Overview
The Senior Analyst supports the Global Cost and Inventory Consolidation team in delivering consistent, enterprise-wide costing and inventory reporting to enable enhanced management insights across Perrigo. Reporting to the team’s Manager, this role is accountable for the ongoing execution, maintenance, and value realization of the global costing solution within S/4HANA Central Finance (CFIN).
This position plays a critical role in month-end close activities, including validation, reconciliation, and integrity of global costing and inventory data. The Senior Analyst plays an active role in the development and continuous enhancement of product profitability reporting, leveraging the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to deliver actionable insights.
In partnership with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and IT teams, this role ensures that data structures, recording and reporting capabilities, and business requirements related to global costing and intercompany eliminations are aligned and sustained post-deployment. The Senior Analyst also drives improvements in reporting, analytics, and data quality to support ongoing business performance and decision-making.
Scope of the Role
- Maintain and support the global costing solution and mapping structures within S/4HANA Central Finance (CFIN), ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business requirements.
- Execute and coordinate global costing month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results
- Perform monthly reconciliation of global costing results, including detailed analysis and resolution of variances
- Partner with accounting teams to ensure accurate elimination of intercompany sales and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Collaborate with business partners to enhance data quality and promote consistency in global reporting
- Develop and sustain key product profitability reports while driving standardized reporting across CFIN and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
- Support acquisition and divestiture activities within the global costing framework and processes
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in a large corporate environment, demonstrating a proven ability to address and resolve complex business challenges
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, auditing practices, and the control environment of a publicly traded company, including U.S. GAAP
- Experience working with SAP, with a solid understanding of inventory and cost data structures and processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Foundational knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control requirements
- High attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to deliver accurate and high-quality work
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, using sound judgment to meet reporting and project deadlines
- Experience with or interest in process automation, including scripting and task automation tools, is highly desirable
