Description Overview

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst serves as a key contributor to the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance. This role involves compiling, consolidating, and analyzing financial data to support the preparation of journal entries, trial balances, financial statements, and account reconciliations. Leveraging a strong understanding of the organization’s financial systems, the analyst independently resolves routine issues and proactively identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation and process improvement.

Scope of the Role

  • Lead and coordinate key aspects of the monthly financial close process to ensure accuracy, timeliness in company's financial reporting for both internal and external users.
  • Compile, consolidate, and analyze financial data to support the preparation of journal entries, trial balances, financial statements, and account reconciliations.
  • Apply accounting principles and practices to classify and record financial transactions across multiple systems
  • Prepare and contribute to various financial reports, including balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and statements of cash flow.
  • Perform intermediate-level financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of financial systems and tools, resolving routine issues independently.
  • Support and enhance automation initiatives to streamline close processes and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure documentation and processes meet company policies including  SOX compliance standards and internal audit requirements.

Experience Required

  • University Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years work experience required
  • SAP Knowledge a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
