Description Overview

  • 1 year Fixed Term Contract.

 

  • Packaging Artwork Coordinator based in Barnsley.

 

  • Working within the Perrigo UK (Barnsley) supply chain function, you will join our existing Pharmaceutical Artwork team, working closely with our key internal stakeholders (regulatory, design, sales/commercial, planning and procurement, and data management teams) and external stakeholders (factories, packaging printers, external artwork designers & retail/contract customers) to ensure delivery of compliant packaging artworks for all over-the-counter medicine products supplied to our retail and contract customers in the UK.

 

  • You will be responsible for coordinating artwork processes and actioning tasks involved in completion of packaging artwork changes, from gathering and checking product and component information, to briefing design agencies and completing artwork reviews to ensure new packaging meets the relevant technical, design, regulatory and printing requirements. You will work on several concurrent packaging projects coordinating artwork changes for several pharmaceutical product categories, resolving artwork/packaging queries, and providing support to Project Managers and Customer Account Managers to ensure delivery of changes within the agreed timelines.

 

  • You will be primarily responsible for coordinating customer or regulatory driven artwork and packaging changes (e.g. packaging redesigns and safety information updates) for existing products supplied to our retail customers such as Boots and Morrisons, as well as coordinating the process of creation, review and approval of artworks for new product launches.

 

  • This role will be 3 days onsite.
     

Scope of the Role

  • Coordinate the artwork process from initiation to print, liaising with customers, external/internal artwork designers and print suppliers to ensure creation of artworks in line with regulatory guidance and printability requirements, and providing direction and guidance to relevant internal and external stakeholders where required.

 

  • Serve as a point of contact for all layout, design and artwork production queries.

 

  • Be accountable for completing artwork reviews/tasks, communicating pre-press instructions and reviewing job specific details prior to production and printing. 

 

  • Attend project meetings and provide meaningful updates on the progression of artwork changes, including clear timings on completion of artwork related tasks (including customer timings).

 

  • Communicate any design and printing issues identified and coordinate problem resolution, following up on progress as appropriate until resolved.

 

  • Build relationships with all key stakeholders and work together to successfully deliver a project on time, promoting lessons learned activities throughout.

 

  • Deliver artwork changes on time as per standard KPIs, understanding and communicating any delay reasons and working to resolve as appropriate.

 

  • Provide administrative support to packaging management, including preparing correspondence and presentations, and responding to, routing or escalating queries received via telephone, email, mail, and other as appropriate.

 

  • Support with progression and maintenance of change controls, and initiation/management of deviations and preventative action where relevant to the Artwork process.

 

  • Support packaging management and colleagues in the Artwork, Design and Technical Information department with implementation of process improvement initiatives and other continuous improvement activity.

Experience Required

 

Essential

 

  • Strong organisational skills and some experience in managing multiple changes or projects, with ability to prioritise tasks appropriately.

 

  • Confidence and ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.

 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus throughout repetitive tasks.

 

  • Some investigative & problem-solving experience.

 

  • IT literacy with experience in written and verbal communication to both internal and external customers.

 

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience working in Supply Chain.

 

  • Experience working within the pharmaceutical industry.

 

  • Exposure to Design, Printing or Packaging Management.

 

  • Experience in proof-reading documents.
