Description Overview


Adhering to strict government (MHRA) legislation, you will primarily be responsible for the creation and maintenance of over-the-counter medicine packaging artwork including outer cartons, patient information leaflets and blisters foils/sachets.

Working closely with internal stakeholders (regulatory, design, sales, marketing, project managers) you will be responsible for the delivery of on-time and accurate artworks adhering to all relevant compliance, regulatory, manufacturing and design standards.

You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer on our internal brand designs to deliver visually appealing packaging artwork.

Scope of the Role

 

  • Prepare on time and accurate artwork files for submission to regulatory bodies whilst adhering to compliance, regulatory, manufacturing requirements and design standards.
  • Ensuring on time and accurate responses to regulatory & customer design amendment requests and maintain version-controlled repository of digital artwork files and associated documents and imagery.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on the progression of artwork changes, including clear timings on completion of related tasks 
  • Preflight final digital artwork files according to appropriate printer specifications / requirements
  • Prepare cutter guides according to customer & regulatory requirements, to include Braille, Pharmacodes, print/varnish free instructions, and any additional coding requirements.
  • Collaborate with Senior Graphic Designer on conceptual design work, providing feedback on proposals and new packaging concepts.
  • Support colleagues with ad hoc process improvement initiatives and other continuous improvement activity.

Experience Required

 

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign & Acrobat Pro) as well as MacOS.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of typography as well as general design & layout techniques.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of work.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organisations skills & proactive approach to problem solving.
