Description Overview
Scope of the Role
Process Subject Matter Expert:
- Achieve and maintain expert process and equipment knowledge within a specific area of manufacturing
Process Design and Optimisation:
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation
- Design process changes to realise the identified opportunities
- Conduct engineering change management activities to assess proposed process changes
- Contribute to pre-liminary financial analysis of improvements to quantify benefit
- Evaluate potential improvements to ensure the most beneficial are prioritized
- Oversee implementation of changes
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure processes meet EHS, Quality and other regulatory requirements
- Conduct process and equipment assessments to identify risks and implement corrective actions
Production Support:
- Work with Maintenance, Production, Quality and Capital Project teams to design, implement and maintain production equipment and systems
- Investigate and troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
Continuous Improvement:
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Documentation:
- Contribute to the Engineering Documentation/Drawing management system
- Contribute to the development of SOPs, validation protocols and user requirement specification
- Write technical reports
Experience Required
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline required
- 3+ years of experience in a Process Engineering related role within a manufacturing environment required
- Experience working in an oral solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with process optimisation required
- Experience writing technical reports required
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry preferred
- Experience with industrial building services preferred
- Experience working in a cGMP environment preferred
