Description Overview
We are excited to be recruiting for a dedicated Associate Brand Manager to join our US Marketing team based in our Charlottesville, VA location. This is a hybrid role including three days in the office.
The Associate Brand Manager (ABM) - Infant Formula supports the development and execution of marketing strategies for Perrigo’s infant formula portfolio; Store Brand and Good Start | Dr. Brown’s. This role operates in a highly regulated, scientifically driven category, requiring close collaboration with Regulatory, R&D, Quality, and Sales to deliver compliant, competitive, and consumer‑trusted products.
The ABM plays a critical role in managing portfolio health, supporting innovation and renovation initiatives, and driving category growth with retail partners.
Scope of the Role
Brand & Portfolio Management
- Support brand and portfolio activation strategies for infant formula business.
- Assist in annual planning, volume forecasting, and short‑range portfolio roadmaps.
- Manage SKU lifecycle activities including new launches, reformulations, packaging updates, and discontinuations.
- Monitor competitive dynamics, national brand benchmarks, and category trends.
Innovation, Renovation & Claims Support
- Support cross‑functional execution of infant formula innovation and renovation projects.
- Partner closely with R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, and Legal to ensure product claims and marketing materials are accurate, substantiated, and compliant.
- Coordinate packaging development, including label updates aligned with regulatory requirements and retailer standards.
- Contribute to readiness for regulatory changes (e.g., ingredient updates, labeling revisions).
Marketing Execution & Retail Support
- Execute customer‑specific marketing initiatives in collaboration with Sales and Retail Marketing.
- Support line reviews, customer presentations, and category storytelling for retail partners.
- Ensure all marketing executions meet Perrigo and retailer compliance standards for infant nutrition.
- Coordinate with agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver on‑time, accurate marketing assets.
Analytics & Insights
- Analyze syndicated data (e.g., Circana) to assess performance, market share, pricing, and distribution.
- Track category, consumer, and retailer trends in infant nutrition.
- Develop insights and recommendations to drive growth and improve portfolio competitiveness.
- Support post‑launch and post‑promotion analysis.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales on customer strategy, line reviews, and opportunity assessments.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations on demand planning and supply continuity.
- Work with Finance on budget management, forecasting, and margin impacts.
- Interface with Scientific/Medial Affairs, Legal, Regulatory and Quality to ensure compliance across all marketing touchpoints.
Experience Required
- Typically these skills are obtained with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field along with 4+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, or category management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using syndicated data (Circana/IRI or Nielsen).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complexity in a regulated environment.
- 5-10% Travel Requirement.
Preferred
- Experience in infant nutrition, pediatric nutrition, OTC, or regulated CPG categories.
- Private‑label or retail‑focused marketing experience.
- Familiarity with FDA‑regulated products and claims processes.
- Experience supporting innovation or renovation pipelines.
