Scope of the Role

 

  • Oversees associates working at multiple facilities
  • Assigns tasks and adjust workloads to meet operations production schedules and warehouse needs
  • Schedules and monitors training and assesses progress of the employees
  • Monitors safety, quality, productivity and uses leadership and critical thinking skills to solve problems with associates. 
  • Understands a high level of material requirements planning (MRP), forecast planning for raw materials, scheduling (batch calculations), warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and inventory control. 
  • Participate in warehouse budget planning and gathers and evaluates information, and makes recommendations to leadership to control cost. 
  • Manages all aspects of Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE) operation safety, equipment leases, capital request, preventative maintenance contracts, and training.  
  • Purchases warehouse and operations supplies as needed utilizing SAP-Ariba system
  • Manages supply budgets along with recommendations to efficiently manage overall cost.
  • Manage off-site warehouse facilities, rental lease contracts, cGMP and regulatory compliance, external and internal cycle count audits, inventory accuracy, and corporate food safety and security protocols.  

Experience Required

 

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred. In lieu of a degree, must have a minimum of four years of leadership experience.
  • Must have demonstrated strong leadership skills, including well-developed communication, performance management and problem-solving skills.
  • Can provide work direction across multiple facilities. 
  • Four years of experience in warehouse operation, inventory control, cycle counting, Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE), purchasing, raw material scheduling, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and SAP preferred. 
  • Previous experience working in an FDA regulated industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Sound judgment and good decision-making and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and problem-solving methodology preferred
  • Experience working with well-developed safety programs preferred
