Description Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled internal consultant/analyst with expertise in supply chain planning to join our team. As a Senior Applications Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing supply chain planning solutions within our organization, working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to drive process improvements and achieve business objectives. This role also includes the oversight of an offshore managed service provider to ensure seamless integration and support of demand planning, supply planning, and MRP solutions.
Scope of the Role
- Oversee, diagnose, and consult on SAP IBP modules in support of demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and sales and operations planning processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional designs, ensuring alignment with best practices and business objectives.
- Conduct system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the solution meets business requirements and delivers the desired outcomes.
- Identify and resolve issues and risks related to production planning application implementations, working with cross-functional teams to mitigate any potential impacts on project timelines and deliverables.
- Provide end-user training and support, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of planning systems by business users.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of supply chain processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in supply chain planning technologies, providing recommendations for enhancements and optimizations to the existing SAP ECC and IBP solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot technical issues and drive system enhancements or upgrades to improve the overall performance and stability of supply chain planning solutions.
- Oversee the activities of an offshore managed service provider, ensuring they meet service level agreements (SLAs) and deliver high-quality support for IBP solutions.
- Coordinate with the offshore team to address any issues or challenges, providing guidance and support as needed to maintain optimal performance.
Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in implementing and supporting supply chain planning solutions.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain planning functionalities, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and sales and operations planning.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP solutions, including configuration and integration with other applications, such as SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or Primavera.
- Experience in gathering requirements, conducting system testing, and providing end-user training and support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Experience in managing external consultants/contractors or service providers is a plus.
