Description Overview
The Senior Director of Network Strategy will lead the strategic design and transformation of Perrigo’s global supply chain network. This role is pivotal in shaping innovative operating models across the value chain, driving make-versus-buy decisions, and leveraging analytics to optimise performance. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to build a resilient, agile, and cost-effective network that supports Perrigo’s healthcare mission.
Scope of the Role
- Global responsibility for network strategy across Perrigo’s supply chain, including manufacturing, understanding of the markets and channels served, and external partnerships.
- Strategic leadership of network modelling, scenario planning, and footprint optimisation.
- Development of supply chain operating models that integrate commercial, regulatory, and technical functions.
- Execution of a robust supply chain risk management framework, including principles and governance.
- Engagement with external consultants and advisors to support transformation initiatives.
- Alignment of network strategy with healthcare regulatory requirements and patient-centric supply chain design.
- Integration of sustainability and ESG principles into network strategy.
- Architect and evolve the global supply chain network to support dynamic demand, regulatory shifts, and market expansion.
- Lead strategic network modelling using scenario planning, cost-to-serve analysis, and control tower visibility.
- Design and implement innovative operating models across the value chain, integrating commercial, regulatory, and technical functions.
- Conduct structured make-versus-buy assessments to determine optimal sourcing strategies and manufacturing footprints.
- Partner with finance and procurement to evaluate cost, risk, and strategic fit of external manufacturing options.
- Build and lead analytics capabilities for network optimisation, scenario planning, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with external advisors and consultants to shape long-term supply chain transformation strategies.
- Manage strategic relationships with suppliers, 3PLs, and external manufacturers to ensure innovation and resilience.
- Ensure execution of supply chain risk management principles and frameworks.
- Align network strategy with healthcare regulatory frameworks and patient-centric outcomes.
- Embed sustainability and ESG goals into network strategy and operations.
- Conduct span and layer efficiency analysis to enhance organisational effectiveness.
Experience Required
- The required experience will typically come with 10+ years in supply chain leadership roles, ideally within healthcare, consumer health, or FMCG sectors.
- Deep expertise in network strategy, analytics, and operating model design.
- Experience managing external partnerships and transformation programmes.
- Strong strategic mindset with long-term vision and execution capabilities.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory environments and patient-focused supply chain strategies.
- Experience embedding sustainability and ESG principles into supply chain operations.
