Description Overview


This role as a Senior Sourcing Manager requires the management of contract manufacturers for External Finished Goods focused on the US side of Perrigo’s business.   Perrigo’s partnership with this portfolio of manufacturers is instrumental in our pursuit of being a Global Leading Self-Care company.  A key feature of this role is the ability to manage high value, strategic partnerships.

 

This will be a permanent contract based in Perrigo’s Dublin Office with work from home flexibility (up to 2 days per week).

Scope of the Role

 

  • Manage an external contract manufacturing supply portfolio
  • Draft, implement and execute effective sourcing strategies
  • Review and manage category spend and identify opportunities for cost savings without negatively impacting quality or service
  • Negotiate, draft and execute contracts
  • Price negotiation and management
  • Spend analysis and budget management
  • Ensure robust service 
  • Optimise sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
  • Represent Procurement in multifunctional initiatives
  • Internal stakeholder management

Experience Required

 

  • Prior experience managing a category of external manufacturing suppliers (or similar) 
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/FMCG would be beneficial
  • Typically 6+ years of relevant experience in similar roles
  • Strong negotiation & influencing skills, both externally for commercial discussions and internally for critical procurement issues
  • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business acumen 
  • Strong project management and leadership skills 
  • Proficient in SAP, Excel, PowerBI and Powerpoint 
  • BA/BS Degree
  • CIPS qualification would be beneficial
