Description Overview

 

 

This is a pivotal role within CSCI (Consumer Self Care International), responsible for managing and optimizing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role involves conducting detailed analyses of demand and inventory, driving initiatives to reduce inventory and SSSO (Stock, Slow-moving, and Obsolete), and improving forecast accuracy (F/acc). The S&OP Lead will prepare materials for monthly Executive S&OP meetings, develop actionable conclusions, and drive mitigating actions. Leads a team of direct and indirect reports.

 

Plays a critical role in ensuring the alignment of supply chain activities with the overall business strategy.

 

Scope of the Role

 

  • Lead and mentor a team consisting of an Inventory Manager, Analytics Lead, and Master Data Lead (and their respective teams); Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment; Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve departmental goals. 
  • Process governance; Form a companywide strategic roadmap to improve S&OP maturity; Align strategic roadmap with key stakeholders across functions, hierarchy and different parts of the business. Enable process design through technology and analytics and manage technology upgrades. 
  • Tailor the most appropriate S&OP process for the organization and guarding the overall standard of the process; Define the S&OP process steps, Evaluate adoption of the process, Design the process flow, key success measures and interaction with other processes, Implement transformational or continuous improvement changes to the process, Benchmark the process amongst industry peers, and Hand over the process to S&OP coordinators in the business. 
  • Manage the S&OP Process: Own and manage the detailed analysis of demand and inventory Drive programs to reduce inventory levels, minimize Stock, Slow-moving, and Obsolete (SSSO) items, and reduce forecast bias; Improve forecast accuracy (F/acc) through continuous process enhancements and best practices. 
  • Prepare for and lead Executive S&OP Meetings: Prepare comprehensive materials; Develop data-driven conclusions and present actionable insights; Drive the execution of mitigating actions based on meeting outcomes. 
  • Collaborate with the Demand Planning Lead, Central Supply Planning Lead, and Network Management Lead to ensure alignment and collaboration across different planning functions to achieve overall business objectives. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the S&OP framework; Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the S&OP process. 

Experience Required

 

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain management, Business administration of related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) is preferred 
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, demand planning, or related fields within CPG industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Proficiency in S&OP processes and tools 
  • Strong leadership and team management/motivation skills 
  • Strong organizational, project management and change management skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different functions and levels within the organization
  • This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to drive change and improve processes continuously
