Description Overview
The Global Digital Manager defines and leads the end‑to‑end digital consumer experience strategy across all digital channels for one or multiple categories within Perrigo. This includes websites, media, social media, and owned platforms, ensuring full alignment with enterprise priorities and long‑term growth objectives.
The role contributes to shaping the global digital vision, establishing governance frameworks, and driving digital transformation. As a key member of the digital transformation team, the Global Digital Manager supports the development of enterprise‑wide digital capabilities and fosters strong cross‑functional alignment.
Scope of the Role
1. Digital Strategy and Category Support

Define and lead the digital strategy for assigned brands or categories, ensuring a consistent, consumer‑centric experience across all digital touchpoints, including brand websites, retailer product detail pages, and digital shelf environments.

Translate business and consumer insights into clear digital priorities, strategic roadmaps, and actionable plans that support category growth and brand objectives.
2. Digital Experience

Establish and guide the global digital experience vision and standards across owned, earned, and paid channels, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, category priorities, and enterprise‑level consumer needs.

Set the strategic direction for digital campaigns and consumer journeys, providing guidance on messaging architecture, platform roles, and touchpoint orchestration across all stages of the consumer journey.

Own and govern scalable content frameworks and toolkits, enabling markets and regions to deploy compliant, high‑quality digital assets efficiently while allowing for necessary local adaptation.

Take end‑to‑end ownership of website strategy and execution, including user experience, user interface, content quality, governance, and regulatory/legal compliance, while ensuring local adoption and continuous optimization.
3. Collaboration, Innovation, and Capability Building

Drive digital innovation by identifying, testing, and adopting emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence, automation, and new digital tools—to enhance consumer experience, execution speed, and quality.

Design and evolve scalable digital processes and frameworks, embedding innovation into ways of working across categories, regions, and markets.

Serve as a digital innovation partner across cross‑functional teams, collaborating with category, marketing, ecommerce, insights, medical, legal, regulatory, and IT stakeholders to unlock new solutions and remove execution barriers.

Support markets and clusters by providing guidance, best practices, frameworks, and governance, while enabling appropriate local adaptation.

Manage and lead digital projects, agencies, and external partners, ensuring clarity of roles, timelines, and accountability across initiatives.
4. Digital Measurement, Performance, and Insights

Contribute to defining the strategic digital measurement vision by challenging traditional metrics and establishing advanced frameworks that connect consumer experience, content quality, and digital activity to category and business outcomes.

Foster a performance‑driven decision‑making culture by using data and insights to challenge priorities, investment decisions, and execution models across categories, regions, and markets.

Lead advanced experimentation and test‑and‑learn approaches—including the use of AI and automation—to generate scalable insights and accelerate continuous optimization.

Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders, influencing strategic direction, innovation roadmaps, and long‑term digital capability development.
Experience Required
-
University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business, Communications); studies in digital marketing, digital transformation, or consumer experience are considered an advantage.

At least 8 years of experience in digital marketing, demonstrating clear progression from hands‑on execution to strategic ownership and enterprise‑level influence.

Proven experience working in international and multicultural environments, ideally within large multinational or global organizations, managing complexity across regions, markets, and categories.

Strong passion for digital innovation, consumer experience, and the evolution of digital brands within complex and regulated environments.

Knowledge and experience in content creation and/or media activation.

Experience or knowledge in ecommerce, particularly Amazon and retail media platforms.

Hands‑on experience with test‑and‑learn methodologies in AI environments, including agent creation, process optimization, and content generation.

Experience managing DAM and PIM systems as well as content automation platforms.

Exposure to global digital governance models, including collaboration with legal, regulatory, medical, and IT teams across multiple regions.
