Description Overview

This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Infrastructure architecture and solutions across the organization. The Solution Architect will work closely with different IT and business departments to ensure seamless design and implementation with continuous delivery, supporting the company's strategic goals.

Scope of the Role

Strategic Planning and Process Improvement:

  • Lead initiatives to streamline Infrastructure architecture processes, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall business strategy.
  • Develop and understanding of our existing IT Infrastructure while actively searching for improvement areas.
  • Develop and implement best practices for Infrastructure architecture, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize Infrastructure solutions and reduce costs.

 

Technology and Tools Management:

  • Manage and implement Infrastructure architecture tools and technologies.
  • Create 3-5 years road maps, propose solutions to company challenges.
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient Infrastructure architecture using continuous development methodologies.

 

Project Leadership:

  • Drive and guide technical decision-making on Infrastructure architecture from project inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement Infrastructure architecture strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes.

 

Compliance:

  • Contribute to and enforce governance policies and procedures to ensure integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure Infrastructure architecture processes meet Perrigo standards.

 

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Help drive excellence across all aspects of Perrigo’s architecture work by building architectural deliverables, sharing knowledge and skills, and enforcing best practices for architecture.
  • Mentor and guide a team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Experience Required

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Cisco, Azure, TOGAF, SOA architecture tools and technologies, including the ability to produce and maintain architectural standards and diagrams.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale Infrastructure architecture projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading transformational change within Infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with US and international Infrastructure operations, configuration, support, and development.
  • Expertise in all Infrastructure areas (the ‘T’ model - excellent knowledge in at least one area and breath of knowledge in many other areas)
  • These skills are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, combined with 7-10 years of experience in Infrastructure architecture, engineering or similar roles; or 15 years of experience with Infrastructure Architecture
  • Masters degree or relevant certifications preferred
