Description Overview
In this highly visible role, you will frequently interact with Senior Leadership to provide technical accounting advice and support the financial reporting and controllership functions. This role works closely with various Finance teams within the Company, including Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and Tax, as well as the Commercial, Legal, Regulatory, Operations, and Business Development teams. You will develop a broad understanding of Finance functions in a publicly traded multinational entity which will support your professional development and provide access to exciting career opportunities at Perrigo.
We currently offer a hybrid working pattern with 2 days working remotely and 3 days in our beautiful downtown Grand Rapids location.
Scope of the Role

- Conduct technical accounting research and develop written positions on complex transactions.
- Support the SEC Reporting team with benchmarking and the preparation of disclosures for new transactions or accounting standards.
- Analyze and support implementation efforts for significant new accounting pronouncements.
- Participate in cross functional meetings and engage with Senior Leadership to discuss the accounting and reporting implications for new pronouncements and complex transactions.
- Review significant contracts for accounting implications under US GAAP.
- Work with Internal Audit to implement or update SOX controls as financial reporting requirements change and/or the organization changes.
- Assist in the maintenance and development of accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with other special projects related to aspects of technical accounting.
Experience Required
-
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in public accounting and/or relevant industry experience.
- Recent experience applying U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition, business combinations, and fair value accounting.
- Demonstrated recent experience in researching and preparing technical documentation.
- Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements.
