Description Overview
The role of the Shift Trainer is to provide a structured approach to training including needs assessment, instructional design, measuring learning proficiency, escalation of learning items, and reporting defined metrics that meet all cGMP requirements. Through on the job training and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) they also ensure employees in specific operational areas have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do their jobs.
Scope of the Role
- Application of training tools (e.g., needs assessments, instructional design, measuring learning proficiency, escalation of learning items, reporting defined metrics)
- Ensure training is appropriately documented in LMS according to legal, regulatory and business requirements
- Periodically review LMS curricula and adjust as needed
- Conduct regular training audits within identified area of responsibility
- Identify training gaps and address or escalate as needed
- Conduct training (e.g., classroom, on the job)
- Remain current on processes and procedures within area of responsibility
Experience Required
- High School/GED; progress towards additional educational classes preferred
- Knowledge of a Learning Management System
- Demonstrate effective facilitation/presentation skills
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office)
- Basic data entry skills
- cGMP/FDA knowledge
- Ability to motivate others
- Ability to develop professional communication based on the audience
- Knowledge of an LMS
