Description Overview

As a Senior Packaging Developer at Perrigo, you are responsible for developing packaging solutions for our new and existing skin care products and you will play an important role in concept and idea generation as packaging expert. 

Scope of the Role

  • Drive the technical design development from product concept to market introduction
  • Investigate and evaluate new packaging solutions and suppliers 
  • Perform and evaluate packaging tests
  • Coordinate and conduct packaging line trials for new or improved packaging components
  • Develop and industrialize new packaging solutions
  • Create and/or update packaging specifications, including technical assembly drawings and material specifications
  • Perform color matching and print approvals at our packaging suppliers 
  • Investigate, test, and implement new sustainable packaging components and materials
  • Lead technically advanced projects with a bigger scope or more complicated nature
  • Educate and share your experience and knowledge with the rest of the team

Experience Required

  • Master’s degree in Engineering/Natural Sciences or an education in Packaging Development 
  • Min. 5 years as a Packaging Developer from the Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical or Food industry 
  • Packaging knowledge within graphic design and decorating techniques
  • Knowledge of Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, and other materials used in the construction and manufacturing of primary and secondary packaging 
  • Packaging knowledge of test methods used to validate performance of packaging components
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Background in FMCG and experience in industrialization of packaging solutions
  • Experience in tech transfer projects is beneficial
  • Fluent in English both verbally and in writing is a must
